The situation
The web interface was built in Next.js and the back end in NestJS. For the shared interface components we used Restyle and Storybook.
What made it hard?
With a small team, we had to build the interface and the back end and keep everything consistent.
What was I responsible for?
- I worked on an application for healthcare organisations, used by professionals in patient care. It included a machine-learning feature, and I also built OpenAI prototypes.
- I worked on the Next.js interface and the NestJS back end.
- I looked after the shared interface components using Restyle and Storybook.
- I also worked on the AWS environment.
Results
- Interface work took roughly 60% less time, because the shared components could be reused.
When this matters to you
- If you want a consistent look and interface components that stay easy to change later, I build that kind of interface system, one your team can keep extending.
